JOB SUMMARY
The University of Connecticut is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Women’s Rowing Coach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Women’s Rowing Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I women’s rowing program with an emphasis on the recruitment of prospective student-athletes; development of the student-athlete; race day preparation; assisting with boat maintenance and repair; marketing and community involvement; fundraising and alumni relations; transporting boats to competitions; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Rowing Coach.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree.
- One year of coaching experience, preferably at the college level.
- Collegiate student-athlete rowing experience or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with and alignment to the University's academic goals.
- Demonstrated organizational, communication and public relations skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree.
- Ability to drive a boat trailer.
- Demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes.
