JOB SUMMARY

The Connecticut Training and Technical Assistance Center seeks applications for the position of Educational Program Coordinator (P3). Under the direction of the Executive Director, the position provides programmatic support to the Center, including event and project coordination.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates with subject matter experts to provide curriculum development support for educational programs offered by the CT Training & Technical Assistance Center at the University of Connecticut.
  • Conducts needs assessments for future training needs, compiles and presents data to center leadership, making suggestions for future sessions. Coordinates with instructors to schedule the Center’s training sessions throughout Connecticut.
  • Serves as the facilitator for onsite workshops.
  • Coordinates with Center staff to develop promotional outreach to bring awareness to specific training opportunities for targeted audiences. Develops virtual learning opportunities for municipal, state, and private sector audiences.
  • Coordinates outreach and events to support workforce development efforts.
  • Serve as a resource to individuals and groups on matters relating to program activities.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least four years of experience with the development of curriculum and/or learning resources for adult learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and regularly exercise judgment regarding program support details and procedures.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and follow through.
  • Technical skills including demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 applications.
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with instructional design and development of virtual learning programs.
  • Experience with project and event management.
  • Experience with supporting non-profit or grant-funded organizations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hiring range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. An offer of employment, if made, will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skill and experience, as determined by the University.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time, end-dated position with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and funding. The chosen candidate must have the ability to travel to multiple work locations within Connecticut and the region as well as the ability to occasionally work extended hours. Other rights, terms, and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA).
