JOB SUMMARY

The School of Business is seeking a full-time Manager of New Specialized Master’s Programs (Educational Program Administrator, P4) to serve as a central driver for the School of Business Specialized Master's programs' growth in new programs, including MS in Supply Chain Management and MS in Social Responsibility & Impact in Business. The incumbent will report to the Executive Director of School of Business MS Programs and is responsible for student engagement and operational excellence, while overseeing the full student lifecycle from prospective inquiry through enrollment and onboarding. It combines strategic recruitment, data-informed admissions management, and high-impact marketing initiatives in coordination with the School of Business Marketing & Communications team.

This is a 12-month, end-date, annually renewable position, based in Hartford with the expectation of traveling to other University campuses, as well as other in-state and out-of-state locations. Occasional evenings and weekends will also be required in support of program needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the planning, development, design, implementation, and evaluation of activities to achieve program objectives and enrollment goals.
  • Participating in developing and executing overarching recruitment strategy regionally and nationally for new specialized master’s programs, particularly MS in Supply Chain Management and MS in Social Responsibility & Impact in Business.
  • Responding to prospective student inquiries, helping convert initial interest into applications.
  • Planning and managing virtual information sessions, ensuring smooth execution and high engagement with the market.
  • Establishing and managing LinkedIn presence for programs, driving program promotion and growing followers.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and interpreting admissions and enrollment data to inform reporting, forecasting, and strategic program planning.
  • Managing and processing applications in collaboration with academic leadership, ensuring alignment with program quality standards and admission criteria.
  • Supporting admitted students through onboarding, registration, and continuous communication, providing a seamless and student-centered experience.
  • Developing and maintaining Husky orientation sites and online community hubs, fostering early engagement and connection among students.
  • Serving as an academic advisor to students, coordinating individualized plans of study and conducting degree audits to ensure timely progress toward program completion.
  • Coordinating program operations including course scheduling, budget planning, student surveys, and outreach initiatives.
  • Leading the planning and execution of alumni and industry engagement events that elevate program visibility and strengthen external partnerships such as the Connecticut Manufacturing Innovation Forum, Panel Discussion with CT’s Leading Manufacturers, AI-focused supply chain panels, NextGen Summit, CT Port Authority Annual Public Hearing, SCM career pathway panels, and SCM roundtables.
  • Processing financial and personnel transactions related to program operations, including purchasing and reimbursements.
  • Expanding industry contact lists, strengthening employer partnerships.
  • Preparing administrative reports and presentations to support departmental and school-level review and approval processes.
  • Preparing and presenting administrative updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Submitting and managing CourseLeaf curriculum motions for academic leadership review and approval.
  • Working closely with Marketing and Communications to develop, update, and strengthen website content, recruitment materials, communication campaigns, and enrollment goals.
  • As needed and time permits, supporting other graduate program needs and initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least four years of related work experience.  One year of experience must be serving as an advanced team member.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders such as staff, applicants, students, faculty, and external constituents.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully recruiting students, including the ability to plan, organize and execute recruiting and other student-centered events.
  • Demonstrated experience handling admissions processes and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks and creatively resolve problems efficiently, effectively, and independently.
  • Demonstrated competence and agility in adopting and implementing new technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience working in a higher education environment in a University setting.
  • Proven experience working with diverse student groups, programs, or constituents.
  • Supervisory experience.
