      UConn’s Facilities Operations Department has a job opening for a Water Pollution Control Operator 2 position at the Water Resource Recovery Facility located at the Storrs Campus. This is a permanent, full-time, 1st shift position, with a work schedule of Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week with a paid half an hour for lunch.

      The Facilities Operations Department at the Storrs Campus has three job openings for Power Plant Operator 2 positions. These are permanent, full-time positions, rotating days/shifts. Ten (10) teams of four (4) persons rotate, working eight (8) hour weekdays and twelve (12) hour weekends. This is often called the “8 Plus 12 Plan”.

The vessel operates along the East Coast of the US up to 200 NM on cruise averaging 5-14 days. The schedule varies between 100-150+/- days at sea/year. The remainder of the time is spent conducting maintenance in the home port of Groton, CT.
